When traveling on Upper Matecumbe Key you cannot miss this facility. It's a real railroad caboose maintained in its original color....bright red. It is very much like those which traveled the Keys during the railroad era.
Inside you will find friendly advice,things to do while visiting, brochures on local businesses , photos and artifacts from the surrounding sea as well as the railroad history of the Keys. This site is actually the location of the old Flagler railway section foreman's house prior to the hurricane of 1935.
With the new incorporation of "Islamorada Village of Islands" you can expect this facility to become of greater importance.
